A very useful Gmail feature for social media marketers
If you are actively using social media and trying to create and manage multiple twitter, facebook etc accounts at the same time, the most painful process is the creation of these accounts. These sites will force you to verify your email during registration. Sometimes you are short of your existing email accounts and forced to go and create new email accounts. Moreover, if there are too many email accounts you need to manage and check, you can easily get lost.
Thanks to a Gmail mailbox feature you can easily overcome this issue.
Suppose you have an email account like: gokhan at gmail.com and there is a twitter account already attached to it. If you need to create another twitter account just type in this, as the email account:
gokhan+1 at gmail.com
Your new twitter account will be attached to your original gokhan at gmail.com account as well, you will receive notifications of your second twitter account to gokhan at gmail.com too. gokhan+1 is an alias to gokhan, yet it is still accepted as a separate email address during email verifications. If you need to create more twitter accounts, just add +1 and it’s simple as this: gokhan+2, gokhan+3, gokhan+4 … and so on
